This is a group to support individuals who have shed the doctrine they were most likely "brought up" in. As a former Christian, I do not have support from friends and family to pursue truth and have an honest discussion. We believe in the power of evidence, science and a healthy debate.
Meet like-minded blasphemers around the Bay. More than just an atheist meetup, we eschew intellectualization for a more laid back approach involving less use of the word "eschew". If you found American Dad's "Raptures Delight" episode to be full of awesomeness, then this is the group for you. http://www.hulu.com/watch/111568/am

Learning from the Early Church The early church was an ENGAGED church. They were studying and dissecting FOR THE FIRST TIME what was called the New Testament. They had to reconcile whether or not Jesus was the Son of God and HOW He was the Son of God, as well as reconcile how Mary was the mother of Jesus - who is 100% God and was 100% Man. There are many, many more big and important questions answered in the Bible that are not a part of mainstream discussions. Engage your mind. Engage your work. …
We have been meeting monthly in Foster City since 09/2007 and would like to increase the number of people at our monthly discussions. We are a Charter Chapter of the American Humanist Association and each month discuss a book, article or other reading related to humanism, skepticism, free thought, etc. We are also looking to take action through the AHA action website or other local related groups. If you are a free thinker, skeptic, humanist, atheist, agnostic, etc. This is the group for you.
