Proposed Constitutional Amendment

Senator Martinez (R - Fla) has proposed a new constitutional amendment that would bar from public office persons whose interests are contrary to the best interests of the country:

(1) Those whose committment to spreading their religion is higher than their loyalty to the USA (i.e. fundamentalists and jihadists)

(2) Those who benefit from all legislation passed by the legislature, even bad laws (i.e. lawyers and lobbyists)

(3) Members of the Clinton and Bush families.
