  •  Hi. I work in NYC and I live upstate NY near the CT border. If there's ever an event near Litchfield County, I'll come.

  •  I am almost positive that changing the appearance of one group should not affect the other groups but a quick email to meetup could answer that question.

  •  Picco
I am from Southington (no dim sum here :(
Formosa Restaurant in N. HAven has decent dim sum and said they can make any authentic Chinese dish you want. Very nice people there and clean place.
Good Chinese food (not americanized) at China Gourmet in Southington/Cheshire area. No dim sum at Cheng Du or Butterfly but good food.
BTW do you speak Mandarin or Cantonese? I speak a bit of Cantonese but would like to learn Mandarin.

  •  Hi Picco
or to NY Chinatown (NY-where I was from) for dim sum! I miss good dim sum. i'm getting hungry thinking about it! Anyone out there who can make roast pork buns or joong (sticky glutinous rice with yummy stuff wrapped in banana leaves)?
    I will look into that.
    Thanks for the idea,
    Audrey

  •  Thanks, Picco
I will try to set up meet ups in different restaurants or coffee houses in Meriden, New haven or hartford area. I live about 20 minutes from Hartford so it is not a problem for me. I would like to go to dim sum at Formosa Restaurant in North Haven or maybe Butterfly or Cheng Du in Hartford soon. I will look for Asian art exhibits in museums or some Asian cultural experience in CT. People maybe can find someone with similar interests like them.
    Thanks for your reply,
    Audrey

  •  Me and some friends just stumbled our way to this site and thought that it would be interesting to come and talk about our lack of faith with others but sorry for the short notice

  •  I've been in Connecticut three years and will be here through June, 2009. After that I'm taking off to spend a year in Latin America volunteering and traveling, then probably back to school.

  •  I grew up in Kentucky, so there were always two teams we rooted for: the Colts and the Bengals. It's been pretty hard to root for the Bengals for quite some time. I guess I became a die-hard Colts fan when they drafted Manning.

  •  Pic was taken at the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland about three years ago. Can't make tomorrow's meetup as I don't want to miss seeing my Colts play at 1. Another time, though.
