Why Are Men and Women so Different?

Everyone has asked that question, but when Dr. Liz Cornwell, asks it, she has answers, and they are positively Darwinian! Her research includes work in the area of hormones, pheromones, and sexual selection in humans. Her most recent paper can be found in Animal Behaviour, regarding evidence in support of various theories of mate selection in humans. Most recently her work has involved differences between theist and atheists on a variety of psychological profiles.

She currently conducts her research at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and lectures on human sexuality. Her talk on the 25th will be on the evolved differences between men and women through the lens of an evolutionary perspective.

Our Hollywood meeting at the Center for Inquiry is the center of our organization, where we bring in the biggest speakers in the area and host our arts forums and parties. It's always held the 4th Sunday of each month, 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m, at the Center for Inquiry - Los Angeles, 4773 Hollywood Blvd.

Child care is always available! All meetings followed by a lunch, where you can come and enjoy good food and good conversation, and usually even speak to the guest presenter one-on-one. After lunch, we host our ever-popular "Sound-OFF!" open-mike where you can listen (or even participate yourself!) to hear what our members think about anything and everything.
