The Fargo Atheists May Meeting

I am new to this area and am interested in meeting some people here. I thought that starting a meetup group of folks who are similar in their views would be a good place to start.

We had three of us show up at the first meetup in April, and I'm hoping for more yet in May. The three of us met for about 2 hours and talked about lots of things. Some of it about issues surrounding atheism and relgion, but a lot of it was just good ol' conversation about various things. A good start, I think.

I'm not looking to be politically active, really. I would just like to spend some time with people without having to be worried about what I say concerning religion, church, etc. If people decide to do more with the group, that's fine, too.

I thought I would try a Sunday again, given that those in a group like this likely don't have other religious commitments that day. At the last meet a new meet up was suggested. This new one will be less expensive and more relaxed.

We'll just keep going and see what happens!
