Presented by the Delaware Association for Humanism

A 12 part college level DVD Lecture Series, "Science and Religion" is presented for self-enrichment and to lessen the severity of the culture wars caused by the chasm between faith and reason. Through his lectures, Dr. Principe unfolds a surprisingly cooperative in which theologians and scientists share methods, ideas, aspirations and a tradition of disputational dialogue. He shows how science gives religious leaders powerful tools for enriching, not contradicting, their understanding of ultimate truths.
This course is open to the public and is especially presented for those who would like to learn more about the history of their religion and are interested in understanding how science and religion have interacted throughout the centuries.
"Science and Religion' is presented in cooperation with the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark (UUFN). The lectures are 30 minutes in length and are followed by a 30-60 minute discussion of a given lecture's topic. The lectures will be held on consecutive Wednesday evenings at the UUFN's campus 420 Willa Road in Newark, De. Pre-registration is required at least 24 hours in advance. For those who'd like to participate in the lectures, please provide your name, your email address and which lecture(s) you'll attend to www.delwarehumanism.org
* donations are asked of all attendees to help defray costs
