Hello everyone,
Our next meeting will cover influential Atheists of the past and present. This meeting is meant to be a discussion, so everyone should be prepared to share who their favorite Atheist/Agnostic/Freethinker is and why. For some of us this may be a famous scientist and for others it may be a member of our family or a close friend. I think this will be a great way for all of us to learn a little bit about Atheists whom we may never have heard of. This should be an interesting and educational meeting for all of us. This will also be a great meeting for anyone to bring friends or family along who don't quite understand Atheism, as they will understand after this meeting that skepticism goes just as far back in history as religion does.

Since it's getting hot out, we're going to meet back at Panera again, everyone loves to have a lively conversation over good food! Remember, we need to spend $50 as a group in food and beverages to reserve the room.

    if i Can't make it, then i might as well give my response to my most influential freethinker, and that would be the late Carl Sagan..... which will probably be half of the responses in the meeting. I still remember reading the "Demon haunted world" back in high school, and how it completely opened my eyes for the very first time. Carl was more than just a scientist and skeptic. he was a father, husband, teacher, humanitarian and an unrelenting optimist of the human species. he is so missed.
