We are a group of Freethinkers providing an atmosphere of acceptance, the kind of acceptance that comes from being around people you share a common point of view with.

Godless Columbia is: a good place to meet new people, a family-friendly group, a place where you can probably find fellow activists, and a bunch of people who enjoy a fun time or a night on the town.

We hope to ...

* Provide intellectual and emotional support to each other and to others in our community who share our philosophy.

* Foster humanistic moral values and ethical behaviors.

* Promote a naturalistic world view wherein beliefs must be verified by a scientific examination of evidence.

* Defend the separation of church and state at all levels of government as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America.

* Above all, provide a supportive community and be a safe haven where you can let your hair down and talk about what you really think without being judged because you don't take mythology literally.

We hope that ...

* Our members will try to make one meetup a month: there are multiple opportunities to do so.

* Our members will demonstrate how negative stereotypes about nonbelievers are misguided.

* Our members will feel free to bring guests--we love to meet new people--but remember that they'll be introduced to a bunch of godless types and take into account whether they will be comfortable hanging with us.
