Meet other local atheists, freethinkers and non-religious. Gather to discuss beliefs and philosophies, the importance of the separation of government from religion, make new friends, and build a community of secularists.
Please feel free to jump into the Mailing List discussions and add your input. We value your opinions and ideas.
NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS: This is a meetup group, and it is assumed the reason you joined was to become a member who wishes to meet others of like mind. It is strongly urged that you be a participant in the activities, both online and in real time, of the Northeast Georgia Atheists. It is understandable if you lead a busy life and cannot make it to all the events that may be scheduled. But even the busiest of people can have a passion for and a commitment to something that is worthwhile. Let the NGA Meetup be a body of individuals that you feel comfortable with and have a dedication to. It is the commitment of the members of this group to build a freethought community that cares about its members and stands by each other. If you stay silent for at least six months with no indication of being a part of us, then there is no reason for us to carry dead weight.
NOTICE # 2: Please sign up for Northeast Georgia Freethinkers Forum, for that is the only place that will be made available for all news and announcements; it is also our official Forum for discussion. The address for signup is: negaf-subscribe@yahoogroups.com .
*All members please answer all the poll questions, this will help me plan future meetups/events.*
This is for the Toccoa members to introduce ourselves to one another and share a meal, get to know one another. Items of discussion shall include but not be limited to our coming out as atheists, current events, science, and living the good life free from religion. The other subsets will have their meetups announced soon.
