We will be meeting again at the King Charles Tea Shop in Stuart. At the April 22nd meeting Gil will be giving a talk entitled "Scientist Can't Pronounce Atheism".

You will notice that the meeting this month is being held one week later than usual because the owners of the Tea Shop will be closing down for vacation. The Tea Shop opens in the evening just for us so let's support them by purchasing either their delicious pastries, snacks or food items when we attend our meeting.

See you on Wednesday, April 22.

I am back from the American Atheists convention. I will share some of my experiences with you at the coming meeting, including the time I spent with Richard Dawkins. Can't wait to see you all there!!

Earth day is April 18. Oxbow in PSL off of Midway rd and St james. 32 vendors will be there. Athiests are welcome if a booth opens up. We need to work on a mission statement for our group. If we are to go public and be right out there.

""Equal Protection Under the Law"" ""Separation of Church and State"" Considering Constitutional principles, is it fair for religious organizations to be sales and property tax exempt? Is it fair for taxpayers to receive a tax deduction for the support of their church? Are non-church going Americans paying extra taxes to support religious groups that are alien to their beliefs?

This was our best meeting yet. How far we have come, from Phil and I getting together at Kiwanis Park to our meeting last night. What a great talk by Gil and Trina's report on the Atheist Convention.
    •  Gil was great! Thanks for an interesting presentation! The whole thing was great. I really had a lot of fun... and the food was yummy!
    •  There are so many smart and knowledgeable people in this group. It is always so nice to sit an talk with like-minded people. Gil and Phil are such an asset to the group. I had a very enjoyable evening and was super jazzed to hear about Trina's trip to the Atheists convention. So glad our group is growing!
    •  Gil gave a very interesting presentation on Science and Atheism. Trina gave us an update on an Atheist convention she attended and told us about her interview with Richard Dawkins. The lectures, the food, and the conversation were great. Nick Pecoraro
