- I'm relatively new to Iowa having moved here in August. I grew up in a fairly secular environment in Anaheim, CA and lost any belief in the supernatural a few years after I did in Santa. Looking forward to meeting some like minded people!

Atheist. I have no belief whatsoever in the supernatural, and find the search for natural explanations to the wondrous complexity around us to be very "spiritual".

Out of books of interest to this group, I like Creation by Gore Vidal for fiction, God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything by Christopher Hitchens for a polemic, and any of A.C. Grayling's collections for something more thought provoking.
