Topics: (1) last weekend's IA Secularist conference; (2) booklet called A Secularist Humanist Declaration by Paul Kurtz (reprinted in 1980 in Free Inquiry Magazine, Vol 1, #1 [a sequel to Humanist Manifesto I (1933) & II (1973)]; (3) events in the news; (4) philosophy studies and students of same present; (5) separation of church & State or lack thereof; & (6) much more. We had a folded paper sign "Iowa Secularists" on the table by 10:10 AM. Free wheeling intelligent conversation & good humor.
