I'm enjoying it now and looking forward to seeing what the members decide to do with it. Hopefully we can set up different kinds of atheist meetings--1) some very casual socials, 2) some political/anti-religious/gung ho scientism meetings, and 3) some meetings intensely focussed on developing ideas for new mentally holistic alternatives to religion (focussed on critical thinking but NOT on science). In this way the various reasons people come to such a group could be dealt with directly. Trying to accommodate all the above aspects in only one type of meeting leads to frustration and virtually wasted time, in my opinion, unless your hopes are pretty meager to begin with.
