Two Screenings one at 7pm and one at 9pm.

COLLISION carves a new path in documentary film-making as it pits leading atheist, political journalist and bestselling author Christopher Hitchens against fellow author, satirist and evangelical theologian Douglas Wilson, as they go on the road to exchange blows over the question: "Is Christianity Good for the World?". The two contrarians laugh, confide and argue, in public and in private, as they journey through three cities. And the film captures it all. The result is a magnetic conflict, a character-driven narrative that sparkles cinematically with a perfect match of arresting personalities and intellectual rivalry. COLLISION is directed by prolific independent filmmaker Darren Doane (Van Morrison: Astral Weeks Live at the Hollywood Bowl, The Battle For L.A., Godmoney)."

thanks to all who came out tonight. btwn the two shows we had ~100 people show up. didn't quite break even for the event, but it was worth it to have a theatrical screening of a film on a subject of such great importance. hope to talk with more of you at the next meetup.

Is there a plan for a pre or post meet up? I know Ormond by sight but no others.

I got this on DVD and it was a fairly good, entertaining, and fun "documentary/debate" between the two. I felt that Hitchens came across great, and Wilson made his best attempt. Unfortunately, the choppyness of the directing made it hard for either speaker to really get a finished thought through, but don't let that stop you from watching it. The best part was the interaction between the two *outside* of the debates. You'll love it.

What's the price? Where are the tickets? If I come across the Bay, will I get a seat for sure?

    •  I really enjoyed the movie! Engaging, thought-provoking, and particularly enjoyed seeing Hitchens in action.
    •  I arrived only two minutes before showtime, and because I'm brand new, I didn't get a chance to meet anybody (didn't recognize any faces). I also left quickly after the meeting to avoid the Bay Bridge construction snarl later that evening. Lastly, I thought it would be unwise, and not a little hilarious, to wander through the theater shouting "Any Atheists in here?" Great flick, however. Enjoyed it immensely.
    •  A great documentary, thoroughly enjoyed it - good to see people cheering for Hitch again. Didn't get the note about meeting for coffee before, didn't see anyone I recognized after, shame but me and my friend who I brought along had a good meet up of our own afterward.
