"Yeah, I'm so excited to find this! I'm agnostic but I was a fundie X-tian for 3.5 years so I know all the arguments from both sides. I'd love to discuss this with clear headed people. "

Do you think that as a society, we are on the right path? What path? Is that the path over there? Why do we need a path? Who's responsible for this "path" and how can I contact them? Who gave them the right to "choose" MY path? The nerve........

"What path? Thereis no path. Societies rise and fall..all of them. I guess if the path is the eventual crash of your society they are all on the right path."

Do you consider yourself "eccentric"? Why?

"Yes. I personally do not think my thoughts or ideas are weird but that is the feedback I've gotten my whole life."

Why do you consider yourself a Freethinker?

"Yes. I thinks it's great to learn and change your mind. "Sticking to your guns"= closing your ears and eyes. If I had done that I'd still be a fundie."

What would you like to gain from/contribute to this meetup?

"Meeting open minded people in the Mid-West! I also have the perspective of someone raised without religion, found it on my own & jumped in with both feet, then rejected it."
