We have picked a name for ourselves, Society of Edmonton Atheists. This meeting we need to talk about electing an executive. Frank will give us the lowdown on the society.

Chris has a film we can watch "Deliver Us From Evil", a 2006 Academy Award-nominated documentary about pedophilia in the Catholic Church. It runs for 1 hr. 40 min. College Plaza has a room where we can watch it. Warning, the film has content that may be disturbing to atheists.

    I was impressed with our two new ex-muslim members. I look forward to seeing them again. The group keeps geting more fascinating people coming. Kudos to Chris for the movie and the great place to meet.

    That was a great meeting, both by quantity (17 attendees!) as well as quality. The discussions both before and after the movie were really insightful, and the film, "Deliver Us From Evil", was an eye-opening look at the crimes (I want to say sins) of the Roman Catholic Church in enabling paedophilia, and the effect on their victims (the children and their families). I look forward to more of such meetings in the future, and am engouraged by the high caliber of membership we are forming!
