Thanks to the nice folks at cliftonpark.org, we are now listed as a community group:

http://www.cliftonpar...
(look under civic groups and fraternal organizations - it seemed like the best fit)

Anyone have any ideas where else we should / could get ourselves listed ?

Times Union event calendar? Metroland? Anyone else in the region with an events calendar?

TU timesunion.com/calendar/index.asp

HOW TO SUBMIT
Listings are free. Information must arrive in writing 10 days before the publication date. We do not accept listings over the telephone. Listings should include: the name of the event, time, date, location of event, a telephone number (for publication) and admission charge (specify if free). A brief description is helpful, too. Events are published in the newspaper on a space availability basis, but all events appear online in full. Please submit your event to only one calendar. Your listing will appear in multiple categories if appropriate.

Local interest
Civic meetings, bingo, health workshops, etc: TUCitydesk@timesunion.com
Religion
Services, spiritual gatherings, lectures, etc.: TUReligion@timesunion.com

The RPI Wiki?

Plus I'd think fliers on-campus at Skidmore, RPI, SUNY, if we get stuff there by the time students start rolling in in mid or late August especially, would be pretty effective.

I've tried the TU events calendar, the Capital News 9 events calendar, the albany craigslist, and the WAMC events calendar. None of them generated any interest, but perhaps I'll give them a go again.

I haven't tried Metroland or the RPI wiki. Thanks !

Check upcoming.org -- it's an event service driven by Yahoo! Soon too, "Eventful" will be launching.
