Potluck picnic on Sunday, October 25

I thought I would start a thread to help coordinate what people would like to bring to our upcoming picnic. I can donate two boxes (8 patties) of veggie burgers, cheese, and buns - all that and a bag of chips! Does anyone have a portable grill they can bring? The park service doesn't want us tossing our used coals in their trash cans, but other than that, grills are allowed.

Ulrich/Peter have a volleyball net and ball, and I can bring some Frisbees.

We've tentatively decided on the 6th and Maple area of Balboa Park. Restrooms and water fountains are nearby. Plenty of street parking.

I'll bring something to snack on, maybe chips and salsa? Whatever it is, it'll be something that travels well, as I'll be riding the bus again!

Hey folks, I can find out on Monday if my employer has a grill available and I can also look into other recreational items like horse shoes and canopy, I may need someone to volunteer their suv/truck for a large grill.

If I'm able to go, I'll make my famous sweet potato pie. This meetup keeps sounding better every day! YUM!

Do we know for sure if we are going to have a grill yet? I don't want to bring a bunch of meat that we aren't going to be able to cook.

It looks like nobody who's coming has a grill, so I will go and buy one this afternoon. So, yes, Brian, we will have a grill....
