The dinner & walk was so pleasant I thought we'd try it again. This time, we'll make it Chinese, since it's family style and people can try different things to see what they like and, for veggies, things they can consume in good conscience. The restaurant is located in Kearny Mesa, just off the freeway, so it's fairly easy to get to if you're driving. The restaurant is called Golden City. But in the interest of keeping all of us at one table, I'm going to limit this Meetup to 15, which I think is the maximum number of people they can seat at one table. I think the check will run somewhere between $12 and $20 per person.
If folks feel like another walk afterwards, we could just head up Kearny Villa Rd and take a gander at the places up the road apiece or around the corner on Convoy (NOT Cheetahs; I don't think they serve desserts anyway).

Compassion. That's what the man on Twilight Zone wanted. When he finally acquired it, he was shot by the man who no longer had compassion.

"I'm not sure where Paramus is myself!"
I would suggest just showing up if you're a maybe, since there is usually a couple of no shows at each event I've been to. Worse comes to worst, we can get two tables, or sit in a different configuration.

I say we open it up to more people. Why is the limit 12?

Let's get ourselves even with the boys! There may be one more woman coming, too; it depends on whether she'll be able to get a ride home.

Cyber Girl...no, not that kind of "cyber"
Wow! Are we actually going to have *six* women at this event? Way to go, ladies! Who knew it would be Chinese food that brings us all flocking? *grins*

Who attended?

    •  I met some new people, others I've met before. There was good food and good conversation.
    •  Enjoyed the night. Nice group of people-intimate enough to get a chance to get to talk with everyone. The round table was an added plus. -Lisa

Some highlights of this event, for me: The male/female ratio was the most evenly-balanced that I've ever seen at a SDNA event; we all had lively and varied conversation that did *not* revolve around atheism; I met some new members and reconnected with others.

       Good food, great conversation.
    • "I'm not sure where Paramus is myself!"
Lots of newer faces at the dinner, but had a smaller group than expected due to last minute cancellations. Had interesting conversations about many many things, including house shopping and the "Twilight Zone."
