I'm mirroring this from the Humanist Association of San Diego's meetup group. This sounded interesting so I thought I'd attend and post it to our calendar as well.

Sunday night we will be having a discussion on the Origin of Species.
We will be discussing the 150th publication of the book, and Ray Comfort's ominous 50 pages.

We will also be discussing the life of Charles Darwin, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and the Evolution v. Intelligent Design in the public sphere (From Dover to Louisiana)

Come and join us, bring some food to share (pot luck style)

and come ready to have a great conversation.

This Sunday 6 pm
Joyce Beers Center
4065 Vermont Street
San Diego, CA 92103

Also, we want to bring you a very special guest later this year, come Sunday to find out who...

I am glad I went! It was a pleasure to see old faces and meet new group members. Thank you Annette. I have been intrigued about The Creation and yara, yara Museum since the first time I drove by it. I think it is a great idea for an official meetup. Count me in!

    •  I expected a book-club-style meeting with a round-table discussion, but instead was entertained and informed by a great speaker. Thank you. BTW, if anyone wants to visit the museum the company I work for purchased, I'll go with you for the sake of solidarity. It's out in Santee, CA and it's called the Creation and Earth History Museum, newly renovated to help spread the same old lies to a new generation. Maybe we can make it an official meetup, although it is pretty far from where most of our members live.
    •  Really enthusiastic and informative presentation! Our speaker, Jason, is incredibly intelligent and captivating. I found out that "Creation" the Charles Darwin movie finally found a distributor in the US with New Market Films. I hope this means I'll be scheduling a meetup for this movie in the near future. This was a very entertaining and enlightening gathering. Glad I went!
    •  Damn Great.
