Okay, Katherine has shamed me into acting as if I'm an actual assistant organizer. This is really simple, folks. Show up, listen, talk if you like. It's what we sometimes call an "On Your Mind" meetup.
Trisler's is a pretty cool little wine bar in Rio Vista. Drink some wine, or something else if you're not an oenophile. If you arrive before 7pm you get happy hour prices on selected pours.
Also, this restaurant is accessible from the San Diego Trolley, Green Line, at the Rio Vista stop. Just step off the train and walk towards the shops, angle to your left and it will be about the fourth shop on the left.
Ah, yes, the topic. Here it is: "I'm not an activist."
What the hell does that mean? It means I don't necessarily want to make it my life's mission to actively proselytize the atheist point of view. On the other hand, I'm not really willing to just roll over for all the religious BS (Belief System) that permeates our society, dialogue and even government. So, what's a poor atheist to do? How do I assert my rights as a non-believer in my day-to-day life, as an individual, without going out and picketing or marching, donating $ to organizations or campaigns, or putting my life and livelihood at risk?
Let's get together and chat. And as the Kamikaze instructor said to his students, "Pay attention, because I'm only going to do this once."
