I will be at the meetup.
Anyone interested in a movie? I've had a couple of inquiries about starting our matinee movie trips again. This new or relatively new showings include: 88 Minutes, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Forbidden Kingdom, Street Kings, Smart People, The Ruins. Any votes? |

I will be there and will be up for a movie. A couple of the ones you mentioned sound good.

I will be there on Sunday
I have draft info flyers--one long form and one short form--we can decide which we want to use for the National Day of Reason. I have arranged to be able to attend on May 1 and can be there at 6 to help set up. As to a movie--I am open to that--will look at reviews but most anything if fine I think. |

I won't be there this week but I had an idea to pass on. A lot of the materials we have to hand out at events are from other organizations since we don't have any of our own right now. So I was thinking we could get a two-line pre-inked stamp made that says "Compliments of Iowa Secularists" on the first line and "www.iowasecularist.org" on the second line. We could stamp it on any leaflet that has room for it - and I was thinking in particular about the FFRF newspapers on the front- there is a big blank spot at the top right where we could stamp our info. I think FFRF has an excellent paper and if we have the budget we should try to get a stack for each event. I'm out of town next week, so if you think it's a good idea maybe somebody could work on ordering a stamp next week?

I will be there this week and if we do go to a movie I'd like to vote for The Forbidden Kingdom. Probably not the most intellectual choice but Jackie Chan and Jet Li together might be good.
The stamp sounds like an excellent idea. Alternatively we could print out a bunch of small labels that we could stick on the literature. That would be a good fall-back if we don't have time to get a stamp made before NDOR. |

I'll be there on my lunch break again this week. Next week I'll be able to go to a movie and I vote for Smart People.
Labels are a good idea and probably less expensive than a stamp. |
