At our meeting tonight a few of you mentioned several internet resources to check out. Amanda, you spoke of a few podcasts you listen to and enjoy. I know a few videos available on-line were talked about. I propose that you post links to those items and others you find interesting as responses to this discussion.

Absolutely. I have learned so much about the history of freethinkers as well as current events by listenting to these podcasts. The podcasts are free, and there are directions for how to download these radio program to your computer, MP3 player, or iPod. The podcasts are available at the organization's website, iTunes, or other podcasts warehouses such as Yahoo.

Real Time with Bill Maher: (the comedian is an avowed nonbeliever and attacks the Christian fundamentalists and provides hilarious commentary and great guests who discuss the week's news) www.hbo.com/billmaher/

NOW with Bill Moyer: (a PBS news show, but he often investigates the Christian fundamentalists and interviews nonbelievers) www.pbs.org/now/

If you want links, I've got what you want. I have all sorts of links to Atheist sites, as well as some other useful sites.

I'll post one at a time, so everyone isn't overwhelmed, plus it will keep people coming back. wink

This first one, I mentioned at my 1st meeting.
It's one of the best private, Atheist only, message forums, I have ever found.

Heathen Hangout

My screen name, on the site, is "A Dead Relative." Look for me!

I don't remember who else was mentioning it, at the meetings, but one of the sites I use to find a lot of my web sites, is StumbleUpon.

If you're interested, here is the link to My StumbleUpon Blog. You can learn a lot about me, through this blog.

Note: Not everything on my blog is work/child appropriate.

I know everyone here has at least a little interest in gas prices, since they are so high.
I've been a member of a site called GasBuddy.com, since April `03. They keep track of the lowest fuel prices around the area.

The local sites are;
DesMoinesGasPrices
IowaStateGasPrices
QuadCitiesGasPrices

Look for me, on DesMoinesGasPrices. My screen name, on the site, is "theco2."

Football season is right around the corner.
If you're looking for other football fans, who love the game as much as you, then check out GridironFans.com.

One of the people attending the picnic, last Sunday, was asking about my tattoo, as well as a lot of other people I encounter.

For those who did not see it, or recognize it, I have the Invisible Pink Unicorn on my arm.
