Let's try F&O's! They have great appetizers and drinks (not to mention the pizza!). The organizer for this Meetup is back from a year-long adventure sponsored by the United States Army. This will be a great way to meet or get reunited with Daren and also to meet other secularists, atheists, agnostics, freethinkers, etc. in the Des Moines area. Hopefully we'll see some new faces as well as some regulars! Be sure to check out our parent organization Iowa Secularists!

    •  Great people and conversation - it was great to see everyone!
    •  I had a great time. I don't think I fit your mold completely, but I really liked everyone and the conversation. I'm actually a theist, but am amazed at how I am in agreement with so many of your positions. I am for equal rights and totally convinced that creation should NEVER EVER be allowed to be taught in school. I'm sure glad the courts have ruled against it every time! I went intending to ask if you would be interested in having an author of a new book on ID speak at a university and then have skeptics and/or atheists challenge his position. I spoke with Ansastasia and she may be interested in following up on that. I gave her the book to give to Dr. Avalos. I went to Ames to hear him when he spoke following the movie Expelled. He proved his point well and I think he would be a great resource here too. If it could be done well, he would know how to do it. If you have another ideas or questions, please let me know.
