Anything?
New ideas? Yes. How about some aliveness out there? I'm fully aware there are many who know me who envy my full, action-packed life. They wish they had the energy, the joi de vivre, the lust for adventure I happen to live daily. Example: I will spend an entire weekend pondering, "Is it a gerund or a present participle?" For instance I ask myself, "Am I a freaking atheist or am I an Atheist freaking?"

Man, I love the action.

I think I am the newest member, but I will post anyway....how about an EOS (End Of Summer) somewhere at or near the beach. I am just getting around the messages so I do not know the needed size location.

Thought I would toss my two cents in. You must temper my comment with the fact that I am a new member and only looking from the outside at this point.

Sorry to have missed the last meet up, but had last minute business thing....

I think, which is dangerous I know, that meeting socially is a good idea for us all. This builds relationships between us for further growth, if in fact that is what people are looking for. Most of us have our own social support groups, and meeting new people - even athiest people of like mind - is a new and difficult thing to start.

But it really boils down to what are you / we are looking for.

I think that some people, I would include myself in that group, are looking for a little purpose / focus in a meeting and or group. I don't mean lets march and change the world. But for me, I would like to see meetings designed to discus local issues where, if the need arises, a voice might be needed.

We have all read about the athiest bill boards and the bus ads of late and I personally would LOVE to see that happen here. We all complain about the religious indoctrination in our community. But who soeaks up against that? Generally no one.

Perhaps a structured meeting to discuss issues in our area, with a little socializing on the side?
