Just curious... do people often get kicked out of the group? Was it just one guy who posted a LOT that got kicked out? Is there some time delay thing where if you don't post for a month you're removed...
It just seems odd that so many people would join and then exit in only 3 years... On a sort of related side note, I'm saddened by how slow the forum is... |

Another reason could be the use of email to correspond on ongoing debates rather than a message board. If a group appears to only debate and not do anything socially or activism wise, some people lose interest. I would rather see groups grow than to become smaller or stagnant. Our group, FLASH is growing and I will do what I can to help other groups grow. |

If you are referring to the many posts from a long time ago, I checked out several of those and it seems to me that they were not several members that left the group, but one or two very active members. A couple of our members from near the beginning of the group (one was an assistant organizer) were very active in posting things. Unfortunately, due to personal family reasons, they both left the group in the late summer/early fall of 2007.
And what Ken said about Meetup dropping people is also true. I, nor any assistant organizer, have never kicked anyone out of the group. I hope that clears this up. Thank you for your posting! |
