Hi everyone,

*** NEW VENUE ***

NEW VENUE IS THE COMMUNITY MEETING ROOM AT THE CITY LIBRARY 266 GEORGE ST in the CITY.

The room is booked from 7.30 -9 pm

The topic for this month will be about the idea that has been discussed on the Message Board about
putting up an atheist billboard in Brisbane somewhere.

We need to cover the following items:

  • Content to be put on the bill board
  • What is the total of all the pledges so far? (Our budget)
  • Managing and collecting fund for financing this proposal
  • Logistics of who and when we will organise this with a relevant billboard company
  • Is there a 'best' time of year to put this billboard out there?
  • Other issues (pls respond to me or via the message board to pass on other agenda items you think we may need to discuss on this proposal

For those of you who weren't at the last meeting, pls use the entry to the council library from the City Square entrance. If the sliding door is closed pls use the buzzer to alert the guard will will let you in. The meeting room is between the 2 escalators which lead to the library.

Thanks,
Martin Rady

How about the slogan Godless and Free in large letters, followed below by Brisbane Atheists...come join us. Where to put it--CBD, maybe Elizabeth St, close to St Johns. Has the billboard idea been implemented in Sydney or Melbourne, and if so, with what result? Finally, if the billboard runs for a month only, won't its removal occasion some snide comebacks?
