About The Twin Cities Atheists Meetup Group

Welcome to The Twin Cities Atheists Meetup Group,

I would really like to get to know more local Atheists. I am personally an active member of Atheists For Human Rights as their Video Manager. There are several good local Atheist groups to get involved in and I hope that this can become one of them. There was a question asked one time "why would we need more than one group?". The simple answer to that was given by a friend of mine "why are there not 100 groups?". Each group is different and had different goals and methods. If the groups would at least occasionally work together then we could accomplish so much! We need to show our presence to the community at large and let them know we are here and are not going to simply go away if they ignore us long enough!!!

All are welcome here, just please be polite and tolerant of each other. We need to be good examples of Ethical and Moral Atheists. I would hope that everyone would join an existing organization as well, the MSP area ones are: Atheists For Human Rights (AFHR) http://atheistsforhum..., Campus Atheists and Secular Humanists (CASH) http://www.cashumn.or..., Humanists Of Minnesota (HoM) http://humanistsofmn.... and Minnesota Atheists (MNAtheists) http://mnatheists.org... all could use contributing members. Needs are not only monitary but also in action, participation and leadership. Share your skills/talents with all of us!
