“ Yes, my first meetup, perhaps my assessment is skewed. But I had a BLAST! I met 3 fabulous new friends, each interesting with cool life experiences and outlooks to bring to the table. I've never felt more at home in a grab-bag of strangers--in fact, with anyone but my few closest friends. I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful meet-up-ship. And that was only with us four! Subjects included our individual introductions to skepticism, literary criticism of the Bible, the question of free will, what it's like in the Navy, agnosticism and evidence, and bread pudding. If I had to give one critique, it's that it was difficult to coalesce into a group within a restaurant, where staring and asking questions of strangers is quite rude.
