Atheist Pot Luck Holiday Party

Join us for a pot-luck style holiday party at Jack and Kim's house from 6 p.m.-?

We plan to serve a (vegetarian) pasta salad, grilled jalapeņo-stuffed, bacon-wrapped chicken hors d' oeuvres as well as prosciutto-wrapped asparagus. We'll also have some basic liquor, beer, soda and red wine, but BYOB if you want anything special.

As always, the hookah will be set up for anyone who is interested in sour apple or jasmine-flavored tobacco. We'll also have board games, hot tub (if it's warm enough) and Guitar Hero (and other Nintendo Wii games) available to those who are interested.

This is absolutely not mandatory, but if you'd like to participate in a "white elephant gift exchange," please bring a wrapped (or otherwise disguised) gift -- no more than a $10 value, please.

There was some confusion about the location of the last party, (Brackenridge?) and a few people did not receive the address in time, so please RSVP early so there's time to send you the directions. Keep in mind that email probably won't be checked after 5 p.m. on the day of the party. Thanks!

    "Very comfortable atmosphere. Good food."

  • Kim
"We had a better turn-out than expected - about 12 total. We watched an interesting commentary version of "The God Who Wasn't There." (thanks John!) Later in the evening we started a camp fire and ate, drank and hookah-ed (a lot). Jack outdid himself with his smoked jalepeno/cream cheese-stuffed chicken/bacon wraps. Yum! Especially enjoyed meeting the new guys from UTSA's Atheist Agenda group."

  • Alan
"Not so many people attended since many were with family."
