Introduction

I graduated from college with a whole new perspective on reality that constantly demands stimulation. While I feel trapped among zombies, I find solace in discussing real issues, instead of American Idol or Sports.

How long have you been conscious that you no longer believe in gods? Has the realization altered things in your life?

I first became interested is psychology when I was a troubled teenager. After continued reading on the subject I became aware of the brain's capability to manifest illusions across the entire spectrum of perception, but other functional illusions.

What led you to abandon your faith in the prevailing mythologies of the culture? Was it a sudden realization? Triggered by an event? Or did you just gradually evolve to this position without realizing it until it was done?

I think it all started with the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, and it snowballed from there.

What belief system were you raised in?

Most of my family either distant or close were members of various religious organizations ranging from Judaism and across the spectrum of Christian interpretation.
