Introduction
I moved to Springfield in 2003 to be closer to my family.
How long have you been conscious that you no longer believe in gods? Has the realization altered things in your life?
The realization has changed me completely, but it's like no one can see the change but me.
What led you to abandon your faith in the prevailing mythologies of the culture? Was it a sudden realization? Triggered by an event? Or did you just gradually evolve to this position without realizing it until it was done?
It hit me pretty hard when I took a religion class in 1999 called 'The History of God'. I had a lot of internal reconciling to do and would say I have been an atheist for almost 5 years now.
What belief system were you raised in?
