Next Meetup has been moved! We will be meeting on April 12th, not April 19th. Also, it will be different.

It turns out that March had five Saturdays, which makes for a long gap between meetings. Also, the third Saturday in April is actually my birthday this year. Not that I am not fond of you guys, but I would like to do something unique for that occasion, not something I do every month.

So, we will be meeting a week early, but still four weeks from the last Meetup. We will be gathering at my house to enjoy a CD of Julia Sweeney?s "Letting Go of God," which is a really funny account of her coming to realize that she was an atheist. This performance has gotten great reviews; I highly recommend it.

Since we are still meeting at the lunch hour, but I don?t possess a restaurant kitchen, this will be a brown-bag lunch event. I will provide beverages. We can all sit and munch our favorite lunch while we laugh together. Should promote some serious bonding!

I had a great time! It was nice to see so many people there to listen to Julia Sweeney's "Letting Go of God". We'll have to do something like this again in a few months. Perhaps a viewing of "The God Who Wasn't There"?
    •  It was a bit long, but I enjoyed listening to the Julia Sweeney, "Letting Go of God" cd. Also, it was nice of Janet to allow the group to meet at her home for this meeting especially since we had a rather large turn out. Unfortunately, most of us could not stay long after hearing Julia's monologue so there wasn't much opportunity for discussion.
