I will be do RAGBRAI again this year and I am putting together an atheist/skeptic team. RAGBRAI is the largest organized bike ride in the world. It is a 7 day ride across Iowa. It is an absolute blast! I always meet amazing people. Last year I got to meet and ride with fellow atheist, Lance Armstong. How cool is that?

Each day you wake up ride 55 to 85 miles per day, stopping frequently along the way. Every town is set up just for the riders. Towns in Iowa are small and fairly close together. You usually ride through about 4 towns per day before you get to the over-night town. You can ride as fast or slow as you want.

For me it is a week full of socializing, eating and partying while getting a lot of exercising along the way. There are farms set up with parties, food, water slides, etc. I actually gain weight on the ride from eating tons of Iowa food, including fresh Amish pies. The towns are set up just for the riders with beer gardens, food etc.

I have ridden solo in the past, but this year I am putting together a team. I already have a charter service lined up for anyone who wants to go.

I will be posting more information up soon, but check out www.ragbrai.com to get an idea of the event.

Here are some pics from last year.

I am still deciding on a team name. Maybe 'Pastafarians' or 'Team Skeptic'.

AAAAHHH!!!!! I REALLY want to do this. But with the wedding in March and a Paris honeymoon planned for November, I will not have any time off left. I have got to do this with you at some point. It sounds awesome.
