St. Pete-Atheists//Free-Thought Group October Meetup

“ This was my first St. Pete's meeting. I didn't know what to expect and was pleased to find welcoming people there of varying ages. Unlike my Boston and Lowell, MA meetings where part of the meeting was devoted to the discussion of a leader sellected topic, this meeting seemed to be a place to just hang out with fellow atheists. Both patterns are fine with me - just as long as I can enjoy the comfort of other freethinkers and get involved in pro-active endeavors. I was extremely pleased to meet Rob and learn of about present and planned ideas for promoting atheism and humanism - educating the public and letting other isolated atheists know they are not alone, and working towards our goal of separation of church and state. I would like to become an active member and particpate/volunteer with the Tampa Bay and St. Pete groups and eventually join with a group in Sarasota where I live. Thanks to Gary and all for making this first Florida experience so enjoyable. ”
