I keep meaning to send this out, and keep forgetting. For the July 26th First Annual Louisville Atheists and Freethinkers Churchless Picnic, here are the people to contact.
Prepared Food: Joe Mays -- jfmays@launchpad.win.net This includes food that is already cooked or doesn't need to be cooked, including side items, desserts, salads, what have you. Contact me if you want to bring something. Let me know what you intend to bring and how many people it will serve. I'll be posting what people are bringing as the date approaches. This is to help avoid 50 people bringing potato salad. :-) Cooking: Chris Helbert -- friends@christopherjhelbert.com This includes assigning people to cooking, making sure provisions are there such as the items for grilling and charcoal, etc. We'll be using the group funds to provide as much in the way of burgers, brats, veggie burgers, etc., as we can. If you want to help with the cooking, or want to bring something additional to throw on the grill (more is always better, especially at cookouts), contact Chris. Activities for everyone: Ed & Mikel -- mikel.childers@gmail.com Includes keeping track of what things people want to volunteer to bring, such as stuff for volleyball, badminton, horseshoes, croquet, tennis, whatever else. Also includes planning some possible scheduled throwdowns in the form of softball, basketball, tennis, sack races, any other event someone would like to have. Contact Ed and Mikel at Mikel's address if you would like to bring some sort of equipment for everyone to use, or if you'd like to suggest (or better still, plan and oversee) some sort of scheduled event. Kid Care: Gabrielle Coffman -- gabrielle.coffman@gmail.com Kids are more than welcome. Gabrielle will be taking care of planning shifts to make sure someone is watching over the kids, plus hopefully keep tracking of plans for any activities just for the kids. If you want to take a shift keeping an eye on the kids on the playground, or have some activity just for the kids you'd like to suggest (or better still again, plan and oversee) talk to Gabrielle about it. Decorations: Jonas Wilson -- jonaswilson@gmail.com I'd like at least one big banner -- it doesn't have to be fancy, making something out of sheets and shoe polish is fine, as long as it's big and visible. In addition, any other decorations that people want to put up are more than welcome. If you want to help design and produce a banner, or help with providing or putting up any other kind of decorations contact Jonas. Note that you shouldn't try to contact these people by simply responding to the email list, as not all of these people read the email list. Send messages directly to them in email. Let me know about any other thoughts, ideas, questions or whatever you might have. I'm looking forward to this, I think it will be fun. Joe Mays |
