Who organized?
Joe Mays,  John Armstrong,  and Mikel

I spoke with the people at Kaelin's yesterday. They will not be ready to reopen by Tuesday, but they should be ready by the end of May, so we will have the option of going back there next month.

For this month we'll be meeting at Ramsi's again. I had a guest lined up for this month, but it was necessary to reschedule that person for next month. This might be just as well, I'm thinking, because it gives us an opportunity to devote a meetup to internal business. So this month we'll concentrate on meeting some of new people who have recently joined, talking about the adopt-a-mile program Mike and Ed have made available to us, and talking about the possibility of becoming a little more formally organized, with non-profit status. In addition, I'd like to form a few committees for planning various aspects of the churchless picnic in July, and we'll be needing volunteers for those committees. So if you'd like to help with aspects of the picnic, definitely plan to be there. I look forward to seeing everyone this coming Tuesday night.

    •  I always enjoy talking with our friends from the group. Sometimes it is nice just to get together and talk with friends without having a speaker. Although the speaker for our next meeting is one I surely don't want to miss hearing!
    •  great to meet such a diverse group of freethinking individuals
    •  Great Meetup. One of the best. It was good to have new people say a little about themselves, this should probably be scheduled every few months, perhaps it is, because I'm pretty new, I wouldn't know.
    •  It was great to meet a lot of new faces, and get to see a couple familiar ones.
    •  Great group of people. The noise level made it difficult to hear all speakers.
    •  Good, open discussion. Some folks were hard to hear, though. In that setting, a microphone would help.
    •  Ramsi's plastic room is kind of loud but the meeting was well attended and very well run. I'm having a great time!
    •  There were lots of new people who felt isolated before they finally found the group. I propose an effort to advertise the group's existence more openly so people can find us easier. I would have joined much earlier if I would have heard of it before my google search.
