[ Langford said last week that ?the Constitution of the United States calls for a separation of church and state - it never said anything about a separation of church from state.? He did not mention the Constitution at today?s city council meeting, although he blasted any potential critics who question his piety in public office. ]

Apparently Leap of Faith Larry has a problem with understanding prepositions.
And blasting potential critics who question his piety - what was that phrase about not casting the first stone?

Carol,
The aclu would be the a good idea if......
you had explained to the judge that you couldn't swear to god because you didnt believe in him.
Otherwise the judge could argue that he assumed you didnt want to swear to god because you were not willing to be held accountable by your believed creator.
Is it possible that this was an issue of miscommunication, or did you express your atheism?
